I will only collect information from you that I require in order to provide you with the most relevant information for your interests.
I may email you with different types of communication, depending on what you have opted in to receive or your communication. These may include:
General newsletters, including event announcements
Event-specific news, including sign up details
Related news from my friends, sponsors and partners
Direct emails to you, answering specific questions you’ve asked
If you’ve joined me at an event, you may receive follow up emails.
All my electronic newsletters contain an ‘Unsubscribe’ link offering you the opportunity to decline to receive further information if you so wish. Or, email hello@soraya.earth and I will unsubscribe for you. I have no wish to send you information which you do not want to receive, so please get in touch if you have any concerns about data. You can also use this email address if you wish to update your contact details.
I will not sell or lease your details to any other party.
The information I collect
Individuals who sign up to my mailing list through my website or at events will have the data they give collected – this will always include your email address, but could also include your name, telephone number, interest areas, your background and where you heard about me.
If you email me, your name and email address might be collected so we can send you relevant information at a later date related to your initial email. For example, if you email asking about events, I would add you to our newsletter mailing list and we would also tell you that we were doing so.
Confirmed event guests may have additional information collected to allow me to effectively run events. This information may include medical, dietary and allergy information.
Relevant information may be shared with partner organisations where required – for example, dietary requirements to an event venue.
Your data is collected by me, Soraya Abdel-Hadi, and will be retained and used for the purposes outlined in this privacy statement until a time that you request it to be deleted or you opt out. This is held securely and will not be shared with third parties without your informed consent.
Shared content
Any information (copy, images or film) submitted for consideration for inclusion in a blog post or newsletter may also be shared on my social media channels, unless you specifically tell me that you do not wish me to do so.

If this policy is changed at any time in the future I will notify you by email, and provide you with an opportunity to opt out of this release of information if you so wish. I cannot be responsible for the privacy practices of our partners, but I do choose partners very carefully to try to minimise risk.

I will sometimes share third-party links with you, in order to share opportunities, relevant projects, sustainability, social impact news or other relevant content. I take no responsibility for the privacy policies on these third party websites.
